Ingram - headshotBased in Halifax, I am a freelance journalist, author, part-time instructor at the University of King’s College, and the part-time English Language Arts Content Expert for King’s View Academy.

My freelance work has been featured in, among others, Halifax Magazine, Maclean’s, The Week, The Walrus, East Coast Living, Our Children, Atlantic Books Today, The Chronicle Herald, Atlantic Business, J-Source, Electric Autonomy, and The Coast.

I’m also the author of Breaking Disaster: Newspaper Stories of the Halifax Explosion from Pottersfield Press and was a contributing writer on Deep Freeze: Winter 2015 from MacIntyre-Purcell Publishing Inc.

 I have previously worked as a Summer Intern Reporter/Photographer at the Queens County Advance, as a staff writer at CMSWire, with CBC Radio as Mainstreet’s Traffic Reporter (mainland Nova Scotia), and as a casual Associate Producer with CBC Radio’s Information Morning (mainland Nova Scotia) and Close to Home.  I have also worked as a writing tutor with Dalhousie University’s Writing Centre, was the assistant instructor for King’s newspaper workshop, the copy editor for the school’s news workshop, and was the production manager for the Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association.
